Sexy denim overalls + high waists = 1990s fashion is back in business!
Neon and denim jackets: Though neon is mostly reserved for restrained accents, some labels didn't hesitate to make it the star of a look. That was the case with Shiatzy Chen, which presented a series of neon rainbow dresses and tops. It remains an exception though, as the 2015 spring/summer season will be more restrained than its predecessors. Just like the overall, the denim jacket is making a comeback (denim in general is on the rise), but embroidered or decorated with patterns for a more subtle look than in the 90s.

1990s are coming back again this summer to influence the female wardrobe. Denim overalls, high waists and caps will once again be essential must-haves. (Photos: AFP) High waists: There was a huge emphasis on high-waisted jeans in the 90s, and the high waist remains associated with that decade. Many designers brought it back to the forefront for this summer, from Givenchy, with shorts riding up above the bellybutton paired with plunging necklines, to Shiatzy Chen and the label's pants worn just below the chest, along with Martin Grant and his polka-dotted trenches tied well above the belly button.

The denim overall: Inescapable this summer, and without a doubt a fashion staple forever, the denim overall will reclaim its place of honor in the female wardrobe this summer. A symbol of the 90s, it can be worn in many ways and with a multitude of accessories in order to create looks that vary from casual to sporty, and even classy. Sonia Rykiel and Leonard Paris are two of the brands that highlighted the denim overall during their shows.

Caps: The sporty look was very present on the runways of Paris, so it wasn't surprising to see this 90s staple that adds a trendy urban feel to any look. This accessory was most notably seen at the shows for Olympia Le Tan and Akris (as visors).
