PHOTOS: Fourth of July firecrackers light up across the US on Independence Day ever
Fireworks exploded across different cities of America on the eve of Fourth of July, the American Independence Day. The small town of Keystone, which lies a couple of miles from the Mount Rushmore monument, was buzzing with people on Friday hoping to catch a glimpse of the fireworks and President Donald Trump, who gave a speech there. Many wore pro-Trump T-shirts and hats. Few wore masks. Fireworks, Americans and independence day go way back in history, and according to History.com Americans spend around $1 billion on fireworks on every fourth of July 4. Historian James Heintze also recorded that a reporter in 1898 noted that “the American Fourth of July is the greatest event the maker of firecrackers knows,” in The Fourth of July Encyclopedia.
