Dr SD Nanandkar takes over as dean BJ Medical, Sassoon hospital

Dr Nanandkar is originally from Latur and has a keen interest in forensic sciences and toxicology.

Dr SD Nanandkar has been named as dean of the state-run Sassoon hospital and the BJ Medical college attached to the hospital.

Dr Nanandkar was earlier with JJ Hospital, Mumbai, where he was head of forensics. “Dr Nanandkar has taken charge on Thursday itself,” said Dr TP Lahane, director, medical education and research, Maharashtra, adding, “Dr Nanandkar succeeded Dr Murlidhar Tambe, who was handling the post on a temporary basis.”

Dr Nanandkar is originally from Latur and has a keen interest in forensic sciences and toxicology. Earlier, Dr Nanandkar served as a dean of Rajashree Shahu Medical College, Kolhapur.
