65-year-old NRI woman found dead in Phagwara

Deceased, who is a widow, lived alone as her only son is settled in Australia.

A 65-year-old NRI woman Surinder Kaur was found dead at her house in Hargobind Nagar here on Monday. As per information, one Tajinder Kaur, who lives on rent at the victim’s house found her body. A police team headed by SSP Sandeep Sharma reached the spot for investigation.

SSP said that body has been sent forpost-mortem and investigation is going on. “Preliminary investigation have revealed that the accused is known of the deceased woman,” the SSP said. “We have registered a case against unidentified person on murder charges,” SSP added.
