Fearing poll rigging, AAP has deputed its teams at all polling booths to keep a check on illegal activities.
AAP candidate Dharamvira Gandhi was attacked by a group of SAD workers during the recent lok sabha elections after he objected to the presence of unnecessary people standing in the booths.
AAP election agent Chaitanya Sharma said four-member teams had been given the task of overseeing the polling process in all the booths.
"The teams have been provided with emergency numbers of the district administration so that they can contact them immediately in case of any violence," he said.
Meanwhile, showing satisfaction over the security arrangements, Patiala MP Dharmavira Gandhi said he had spoken to Patiala deputy commissioner, Varun Roojam, who assured him that adequate security arrangements had been made and personnel of para military forces had been deployed inside the booths instead of Punjab police employees.
