Badals should remove ministers too: Dr Sidhu’s jibe after CPS removal by court

Welcoming the decision of the Punjab and Haryana high court of quashing appointment of chief parliamentary secretaries (CPS) by the SAD-BJP government, Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu, who is also one of the CPSes to have been removed, commented that the Punjab government had anyway failed to give any powers to these appointees.

Widely speculated to be joining the AAP, she also quipped: “Ministers must also be removed as all decisions in Punjab are mostly taken by the CM (Parkash Singh Badal), deputy CM (Sukhbir Badal) and the revenue minister (Bikram Singh Majithia).”

She added, “Most of the CPSes hardly took any meetings or got any files. Had the government made them work, it could have better presented its case in the court. I did my best in the field of health.”
