Grover, who has contested from Rohtak assembly segments as saffron party candidate has lost three times, accused Batra of failing to check the deteriorating law and order situation.
He said that incidents of dacoity, chain snatching, rapes, kidnapping and other heinous crimes have become commonplace in the city, but administration and police department have fared badly on keeping a check. He also charged police with showing more interest in money collection through issuing challans of vehicles than solving the real crime, which goes unchecked.
Training guns on Batra, he said while the crime rate is increasing, the Rohtak legislator is busy relaxing in the comfort of his home and office.
