Body found from Kingwah canal in Moga

The police recovered the body of an unidentified youth from Kingwah canal near Dunneke village in this district on Monday. Police officials said the body had been kept at Dr Mathura Dass Civil Hospital for identification, where it will be kept for 72 hours.

The police recovered the body of an unidentified youth from Kingwah canal near Dunneke village in this district on Monday. Police officials said the body had been kept at Dr Mathura Dass Civil Hospital for identification, where it will be kept for 72 hours.

Sub-inspector Sarabjit Singh of city-1 police station said that the residents of the Dunneke village had spotted the body and they informed the police. The victim looks around 17-year-old. "The body bears injury marks on the head and other parts. We have informed all the police station across the state about it," he added.

A special panel of the doctors of civil hospital conducted the post-mortem of the body on Monday evening. "Further investigations are on. We are waiting the autopsy report," said the SI.
