The organisation members also took notice of the alleged derogatory remarks made by a woman cop against the character of students of Devki Devi Jain College, and demanded her suspension.
The candle march that started from outside Government College for Girls on Ferozepur Road, finished at Fountain Chowk.
Organisation president Trishul Aul alleged that instead of taking swift action in the case, the police had been threatening the agitating students.
He said making remarks on character of college students by a woman cop was unfortunate and she should be punished.
