Close shave for schoolchildren as bus overturns in Pathankot

As many as 24 students had a narrow escape on Friday when the school bus they were travelling in overturned here. The bus belonged to Partap World School and it was on way to the school from Sundarchak area.

After picking students, when the bus reached near Pangoli Chowk at Kahnpur village, the driver lost control over the vehicle reportedly in a bid to save a biker and the bus overturned.

However, all the students survived the mishap with minor injuries and were discharged after being administered first aid at a private hospital.

As the news spread, worried parents thronged the accident spot and then the hospital. DSP Ranjit Singh, who also visited the spot, said the students received minor injuries and were discharged from the hospital. School principal Shubra claimed that she would order an inquiry into the

incident.
