Addressing the gathering at Rakhar Punia Da Mela here on Thursday, Mann said: “Both these parties are looting the people of Punjab from the past many years, but now the people are frustrated with them and will give their answer with the power of their vote.”
“Punjab, which was once famous for sports and youth in the armed forces, is now famous for its drugs addicts,” he said, blaming the SAD-BJP government for the menace.
The Sangrur MP said due to the anti-people policies of the SAD-BJP alliance, more than 18,000 industrialists have shifted their base to other states. “Industrialists hesitate to invest in Punjab and this in turn is increasing unemployment, which is leading the youth to drugs,” he added.
AAP state convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur said the ruling alliance had destroyed the state and the people have decided to throw them out of power in the upcoming assembly elections.
Party’s Punjab affairs in-charge Sanjay Singh could not make it to the rally. AAP leader Gurpreet Ghuggi also addressed the gathering.
