The delegation comprised club president Darshan Dawar, senior vice-president Jaswant Lal Takkar and general secretary Narinder Miglani, among others.

The elections of Knitwear Club have been hanging fire due to tussle between the warring factions led by Darshan Dawar and club chairman Vinod Thapar.

Dawar said the delegation requested the deputy commissioner to interfere in the matter and hold smooth and fair elections of the club so that “spirit of democracy should prevail in its functioning”.

Agarwal ensured that necessary steps would be taken as early as possible.
