Faridabad, Karnal to be developed as smart cities

Faridabad and Karnal will be developed under the Smart City Mission in Haryana, Union minister of state for social justice and empowerment Krishan Pal Gurjar said here on Wednesday.
The two cities were finalised at a meeting chaired by the Haryana chief secretary in Chandigarh on Wednesday.
Faridabad was given 90 points out of a ranking parameter of 100, while Karnal scored 95.
An official notification in this regard is, however, yet to be issued. The necessary notification and the procedures would be notified in the coming days, the Faridabad MP said.
