The first information report (FIR) lodged against the firm states that it was guilty of defacing the public property as the firm pasted posters on the walls of different buildings of the city including electricity poles and boxes.

However, Harinder Singh, branch manager, Macro Global, Faridkot, said that they were not aware of it. He added that the posters were pasted by the advertisement wing of the company.

“It is strange that administration has never taken any action against leaders of political party. They install huge boards and posters in the city,” he added.

Deputy commissioner (DC) MS Jaggi stated that pasting advertisements on the public property is an offence and said that he has asked the enforcement wing to remove all the hoarding and posters pasted by the supporters of various political leaders.

“Administration will not tolerate such defacement and strict action will be taken against the offenders,” DC added.
