Giaspura LPG cylinder blast: Toll rises to 14

Only Pooja is left from the house owner’s family and she, too, is fighting for her life in the hospital after suffering burn injuries.

Taking the death toll in the LPG cylinder blast case in Giaspura to 14, the 14-year-old son of another deceased succumbed to his burn injuries on Saturday.

On April 26, a cooking gas cylinder had exploded in a house in Samrat Colony of Giaspura   and 34 people had sustained critical injuries. Out of 34, 14 have died. (HT File)

Shivam, 14, was admitted to the hospital with 70% burn injuries.

Previously, when his 40-year-old father, Amarnath Yadav, had died two weeks ago, the toll had risen to five. On April 26, a cooking gas cylinder had exploded in a house in Samrat Colony of Giaspura and 34 people had sustained critical injuries. Out of 34, 14 have died.

Earlier Ashok Yadav and Sunita,Kajal), Raj, Ram Naresh, Shashi, Ashok Kumar, Amarnath, Meena Devi, Pawan Kumar, Kamlesh Giri, Rakesh Kumar and Surinder Kumar have passed away as they suffered grievous burn injuries.
