Gurdaspur man found dead in Dubai; kin seek Sushma Swaraj’s help to bring back body

The family urged external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh to help in bringing back the body of Nanak Singh
Nanak Singh, 33, of Bharo Harni village in Kahnuwan town of Gurdaspur district, who was working as a carpenter in a construction firm in Dubai for the past 10 years, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a park there on June 27.

Nanak’s brother Sardara Singh said he got a call the next day from Dubai that on the night of Eid, his brother’s friends slept in a room, while he had gone to sleep in a park nearby. He was found dead the next morning in the park.
Nanak Singh had come home on leave a year and a half ago.
He is survived by his mother and brother.
The family urged external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh to help in bringing back the body of Nanak Singh. Gurdaspur deputy commissioner Amit Kumar assured the family of prompt action.
