HC notice to Punjab on gas emission from plant near Nabha jail
The Punjab and Haryana high court issued a notice of motion to the Punjab government after Nabha jail inmates complained to an inspecting judge that they were facing serious respiratory problems due to the poisonous gas emitted by the gas plant installed adjacent to the jail premises.

The Punjab and Haryana high court issued a notice of motion to the Punjab government after Nabha jail inmates complained to an inspecting judge that they were facing serious respiratory problems due to the poisonous gas emitted by the gas plant installed adjacent to the jail premises.
A division bench comprising chief justice Arjan Kumar Sikri and justice Rakesh Kumar Jain issued the notice for January 15, 2013 on Tuesday.
The jail inmates had submitted their representation to justice Ajay Kumar Mittal on December 5, while he was on inspection of the Nabha jail. The inmates had complained that they were suffering from respiratory ailments, headaches, insomnia and vomiting due to the gas.
