"The provision of around 4,000 acres of land has been kept for the construction of international airport. It will be basically an expansion of already exiting airstrip on Barwala road," Sherawat said.

The construction of international airport in Hisar would relieve much burden from Delhi airport as the aviation companies could also use Hisar airport as hangar and for other activities, the planner said.

Besides, a provision for dry port was also in the plan and it would be constructed around Hisar's railway station.

"It will be spread over 400 acres of land near railway station and probably, the government may have to acquire some land as there are many private land holdings in the area," Sherawat said.

The master plan also contains a proposed site for the construction of a complete zone for transport and communication, Sherawat said and added that the proposed site for new bus stand would be at Bagla road.

He said that a solar park was also in the proposal draft even as no site had been identified for it yet. To give a boom to the business activities in the city, the new sites for industrial purpose have also been proposed.

"Once we get international airport and dry port, business activities in the city will increase. Keeping that in mind, 1,000 acres of land in four different zones with 250 acres each has been proposed in the draft," Sherawat said.

Besides, residential sectors and green parks are also in the plan.Hisar, international airport, Hisar city, master plan proposal draft, town and country planning,
