Singing the tune of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which has formed government in Delhi on the plank of corruption-free governance, Haryana excise and taxation minister Kiran Choudhry on Sunday advocated the cause of clean and honest politics.
"Political parties should nominate honest candidates to contest elections as both people and political environment would be in favour of the honest and clean politics," she said while addressing a felicitation function organised by traders and industrialist association in Bhiwani on Sunday.
In an indirect reference to the unprecedented win of AAP's honest faces in Delhi, she said today common people have become aware of politics and society could only be benefited when political parties have honest candidates in elections.
She said the days have gone for those political leaders who misled people by making false promises.
On her political career, she said her only objective was to ensure development in the area and she was moving ahead with this vision. "I want that people of Bhiwani do not face any difficulty in getting basic amenities," she added. Every possible effort was being made to resolve the problem of drinking water and sewerage, she said.
The minister said grievances of Bhiwani traders as well as problems in grain market would be resolved and she herself would talk to the officers of the department concerned in this regard.
Speaking on this occasion, member of Parliament Shruti Choudhry said she has been ensuring all-round development in Mahendergarh-Bhiwani parliamentary constituency. It was her priority to redress grievances of people, she said.
