Ludhiana boy secures 59th rank in IIT-JEE
Ritish Goyal, 18, of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, BRS Nagar, secured all-India 59th rank in the IIT-JEE (mains) exams, the results for which were declared on Friday. He has scored 331 marks.

Ritish has also topped in the region with 98.6% in the CBSE Class 12 results.
"IIT Bombay is my first choice. Last year, a student with 72-rank has got admission in Bombay; therefore I think that I will get admission there."
Ritish is inspired by his elder brother Aatish, who is pursuing mechanical engineering at IIT Mumbai.
Ritish gives the credit of his success to his parents and teachers: "I used to study five to six hours daily after the school, and the credit goes to my teachers, who always helped me with extra coaching. Moreover, my parents have been a pillar of strength to me."
Son of an orthodentist Dr AK Goyal and Renu Goyal, a homemaker, Ritish believes that perseverance is the key to success.
"Ritish has secured second position at the all-India level that makes us the proud," said his parents.
Speking over the education system, Ritish said: "There is an urgent need to improve education level of the government schools. Moreover, students' concept of all subjects should be cleared in the school only so that they do not feel the need of tuitions."
