Man booked for attempt to rape

A man has been booked for attempting to rape a married woman on Saturday. The accused has been identified as Beker Khan, a resident of Narwana, Haryana.

The police said the victim had gone to Tripari Market with her sister-in-law. While returning home, she was pulled by the accused inside his house and he tried to rape her. Victim's sister-in-law instantly raised an alarm but the accused managed to flee, the police said.

As per the complainant, the accused had been scolded by the local residents after he did a similar act on December 27.

The police have registered a case under Section 376 of IPC.
