Minor boy murdered at Moga village, 4 booked

A 14-year-old boy was murdered at Badhni Kalan village under Nihal Singh Wala sub-division, 21 km from here, on Thursday while he was accompanying his mother to the local hospital.

DSP Gurmeet Singh said Daljit Kaur, mother of deceased Lovepreet Singh, complained to the police that while she was on way to the hospital with his son, some car-borne people intercepted them and attacked his son with sticks. Lovepreet died on the spot.

After the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family. "A case has been registered against Ashok Kumar, a senior clerk of the Badhni Kalan municipal council, his brother Satpal and two unidentified people based on the statement of the deceased's mother," the DSP said.
