Pritam Dass (60) had approached the forum on October 17, 2014, claiming that the PSPCL had sent him an inflated bill for July 2014 of Rs 8,425 and in spite of several complaints there had no satisfactory resolution to the matter, even as the matter was referred to the inquiry department.

After considering both sides, the district consumer forum directed PSPCL to pay Rs 5,000 as compensation and another Rs 2,000 as litigation expenses to the complainant before June 2015.
