Punjab irrigation minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon will unfurl the national flag on Independence Day on Saturday.

Sangrur sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) Isha Singal, through a press release, said full dress rehearsal would be conducted at police stadium in Police Lines on August 13.

She said various cultural items would be presented by Spring Valley Public School, GGS Public School and Golden Earth Global Public School. "Students from various schools will perform Giddha and Bhangra," she said.
