Mohit Gupta, district president of BJP, said the party supported the government’s decision to take strict action against people involved in sacrilege of ‘birs’ of Guru Granth Sahib. Besides discussing about preparations for the upcoming assembly elections, the executive committee passed resolutions demanding action against Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal for supporting questionable elements in the row at Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Talking about the party’s preparedness for the upcoming assembly elections, he said the workers had been asked to boost their morale and gear up for the polls. “The workers have been asked to acquaint people with policies and schemes of both the central and state government in their respective areas,” he said.

Senior deputy mayor Tarsem Goyal and deputy mayor Gurinderpal Kaur Mangat were also present on the occasion.
