Sangrur jail inmate dies in hospital
A prisoner from the local jail died on Tuesday within 15 minutes of being moved to the civil hospital here. Victim Satgur Singh (48) of Dirba was awarded life imprisonment for murder in April 2012.

A prisoner from the local jail died on Tuesday within 15 minutes of being moved to the civil hospital here. Victim Satgur Singh (48) of Dirba was awarded life imprisonment for murder in April 2012.
Deputy jail superintendent Sher Singh has said that the prisoner had been first examined in the jail. Investigation officer Satnam Singh said the autopsy would be done on Wednesday in the presence of a judicial magistrate. Senior medical officer Dr Balwant Singh said Satgur had been a tuberculosis patient.
