Manraj Singh, state committee member, SSA/RMSA/CSS Teachers' Union, said, “We have formed a five-member executive committee, which will take up the issues of the teachers with the government.”

“The CSS teachers have been temporarily appointed but stations have not been allotted to them till now and they are marking attendance in the education department. Moreover, CSS teachers have been asked to clear the teacher eligibility test till March 31, 2014. However, these teachers were appointed in 2010 and TET was implemented in 2011,” said Singh.

One of the CSS teachers requesting anonymity said, “We have not received salaries from the past 18 months, so it is becoming impossible to run the houses. As everything is becoming costly, so atleast government should release our salaries.”
