The accident occurred on an over-bridge on the Mansa road. Gyan and Satnam worked in a cooler factory in the city's industrial area. Satnam was unmarried and only son in the family, while Gyan had a daughter (3) to take care of.

Around 2pm, the two co-workers were on their way to work when the truck in the same lane hit them. The workers couldn't make it alive to a hospital run by non-government organisation (NGO) Sahara.
