In the first incident, a 16-year-old girl, a resident of Banda Bahadur Colony in the Basti Jodhwal area, was "abducted" by Babloo, a resident of Subhash Nagar.

The incident took place on August 12 when the victim had gone to her school near Bharat Nagar Chowk and was abducted by the accused as per the claims of the victim's father, who filed a complaint at Basti Jodhwal police station on Friday.

Surprisingly, the girl herself called up her father in the afternoon the day she was allegedly abducted by the accused and told him that she would not return home as she was getting married to the accused.

Meanwhile, another complaint regarding abduction in the Basti Jodhwal area was lodged after two months of the incident in which a 15-year-old girl was abducted from her home at Bahadur K Road. The incident took place on June 18 and the case was registered on Friday on the complaint of the girl's father.

The victim, a student of Class 9, was allegedly abducted by an unidentified person as per the complaint lodged by her father.

The complaint also stated that the girl locked the main gate of the house and ran away.

The victim's father suspected that his daughter had been abducted by someone on the pretext of marriage.

The police registered a case under sections 363 (kidnapping) and 366-A (kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel her marriage) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in both incidents.
