Woman, paramour held for killing husband

A woman and her paramour have been arrested for killing her husband here. Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Hardial Singh Mann said that the blind murder case of Nanak Singh, a resident of Mothan Wala village under Guru Har Sahai police station, was solved by a team, led by superintendent of police (D) Amarjit Singh.

The victim was allegedly murdered by his wife Sheela Rani with the help of her paramour Mangal Singh of Mohan Ke Uttar on December 28. Nanak Singh had tried to stop Sheela Rani from meeting Mangal Singh, so both them hatched a plan to kill him.

On December 28, both the accused made Nanak Singh drink heavily and after that they took him to the Gang canal and pushed him into it. Later, the woman filed his missing report to the police.

However, the olice unfolded the mystery of the murder and arrested Sheela Rani and Mangal Singh in the case.
