Bahubali 2 fever grips India: Film’s successful run inspires saris and burgers
Success of Bahubali 2: The Conclusion, starring Prabhas, has also taken fashion and food industries by storm.
Bahubali 2: The Conclusion, directed by SS Rajamouli, is not only roaring at the box-office, but it has also become a source of good business for various other industries. From saris with Bahubali characters printed on them to Bahubali-inspired jewellery designs to burgers—just the name seems enough to sell any product. The film stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty in lead roles.
A Hyderabad based fashion brand, Jaju Sarees, has launched Bahubali 2 prints for ladies and promoted the attire in a big way. According to Navneeth, the owner of the chain of saris, the orders are pouring in.
“We don’t know how the picture of the designs got leaked but ever since that happened, we have got many orders. One pattern ranges from Rs 350 to Rs 400. The other range is between Rs 1000 to Rs 1100, and even they are in huge demand.,” says Navneeth.
He also adds that some designs are yet to arrive. “ We got some new designs printed and people have already placed advance orders for them. The craze around them is too much.”
Besides saris, even Bahubali inspired jewellery is being sold online.
Delhi-based Sunaina Goel, who runs an online business, is selling artificial gold-plated jewellery inspired by the film, Bahubali.
She shares that ever since she posted about one particular necklace on various online forums, she’s been getting several queries.
“I purchased the Bahubali 2 necklaces from vendors based in Mumbai and shared the photos online. I’ve been getting lot of orders for the piece. Since the buzz around Bahubali is so high, I thought the necklace would sell like a hot cake here too. The response has been great from all over India. I have received orders from as far as Tamil Nadu and Kolkata. The necklace is priced at Rs 1700 plus shipping charges,” shares Sunaina.
If your hunger for the film is too much to handle, satiate it with a Bahubali inspired burger. A food chain is selling a special ‘Bahubali Burger’ that has a cut out of actor Prabhas, carrying the double deck burger on his shoulder. The promotional picture is actually a scene picked from the film where Prabhas was shown lifting a shiv ling and here’s, it has been replaced by a burger.
Hail Bahubali!
