Happy birthday Ajith Kumar: Thala’s fans get a new poster of Vivegam
The makers had initially planned to release a new teaser of Vivegam starring Thala Ajith on his birthday (May 1) but due to delay in production work, they had to make do with a new poster.
In one of his earlier media interactions, Vivegam’s producer Thiagarajan had said that the teaser of Vivegam would be released on May 1 (Ajith’s birthday). “Yes, we had plans to release the teaser on May 1 but now, the tough shooting schedule in Serbia has hindered the dubbing and DI process. We are working on the teaser, but haven’t locked a release date yet,” a source from the film’s unit said.
Instead of a teaser, another new poster was released around midnight on Sunday night for Ajith’s birthday. Although slightly disappointed because there was no teaser, fans, nevertheless, celebrated the release of the new poster and have trending the hashtag HBDDearThalaAjith from Sunday evening.
The film’s shoot is currently underway in Serbia. Siva of Vedalam and Veeram fame is directing the film, which is said to be a crime action thriller based on the urban terror attack in Europe. Kajal Aggarwal plays Ajith’s wife in the film and veteran actor Kamal’s daughter Akshara also plays an important role. Vivek Oberoi is being introduced as the antagonist. Vedalam is slated for release during independence day weekend.
