Karthik Subbaraj’s next directorial, Mercury to hit screen on April 13
Karthik Subbaraj’s silent thriller starring Prabhu Deva is set to be released on April 13.
After Iraivi, Karthik Subbaraj’s next outing Mercury is set to be released on April 14. The director took to his Twitter page to make the announcement and wrote, “#MERCURY - A silent thriller, My 4th feature film as writer-director is all set to Rise am so excited to show it to you all... A No-Language film releasing in All languages on Friday the 13th April 2018...”
This film is also his second production venture under the banner Stone Bench Films after the successful film Meyaadha Maan. The music for this silent feature film is composed by Santhosh Narayanan and the director of photography is Thirunavukarasu. The filmmakers have kept the look of the cast under wraps, but there is talk that Prabhu deva might be playing a negative character in the film.This will mark his first role as a villain in his career.
DOP Thirunavukarasu also took to Twitter and wrote, “My next Tamil release #MERCURY, will be in theatres from April 13th for Summer 2018. @karthiksubbaraj @PDdancing @Music_Santhosh @stonebenchfilms.”
The protagonists in the film will be played by Sananth, Deepak Paramesh and Anish Padman. Remya Nambeesan plays a pivotal role as well.
