According to the latest buzz, Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu will play the lead role in the Telugu version of 3 Idiots. Director Shankar who's busy with Ash-Rajnikanth starrer Endhiran will direct the movie.

Director Shankar who's busy with Ash-Rajnikanth starrer Endhiran will direct both the Tamil and Telugu versions of 3 Idiots.

Sources informs that the director will make some changes in the script to suit the tastes of South Indian audiences. Reportedly the director is planning to cast Vijay, Jiiva and Siddharth in the lead roles (with Vijay in the role of Aamir Khan) in the Tamil version.
