In Hindi cinema it has been a trend for a while - burrowing a line from an old film song and using it as a film's name. There's the new Aishwarya Rai-Fawad Khan film called Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in the pipeline, for instance and 2014 release Lekar Hum Deewana Dil starring Armaan Jain and Deeksha Seth.

Filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon has done something similar. His upcoming Tamil romantic-drama with actor Silambarasan aka Simbu has been titled Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada, inspired by a popular song.

The song originally featured in 1960 Tamil film Mannadhi Mannan, starring MG Ramachandran.

In a statement, Gautham said the title is apt for the story.

The regular shooting of the film starts in a few days.

Also starring Pallavi Subhash, the film marks Gautham's second film with Simbu after the highly successful Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya (2010).

AR Rahman, who has been roped in to compose the music for the film, has already composed three songs.
