Actor Shruti Haasan, daughter of actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan, will be teaming up with superstar Mahesh Babu in his next as yet-untitled Telugu film. The project was officially launched on Monday.
"Shruti Haasan is finalised as Mahesh Babu's pair in the film, which was officially launched with a puja this morning. Regular shooting is expected to start from September and will be completed in one long schedule," said a source from the film's unit.
To be directed by Koratala Siva, the film will also feature Rajendra Prasad, Jagapathi Babu, Sampath Raj and Brahmanadam in important roles.
Shruti, who recently shook a leg with Mahesh for an item number in upcoming Telugu actioner Aagadu, will play his lead for the first time.
She is currently busy shooting for Tamil film Poojai with Vishal Krishna.
