Superstar Suriya to make his Telugu film debut soon

As per reports, Suriya is expected to start work on his yet-to-be-titled Telugu film soon. The film will feature his Anjaan co-star Samantha Ruth Prabhu while PC Sreeram will be the cinematographer.

Suriya has a considerable fan following in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The actor has three major films lined up in 2015 - Masss, Haiku and 24.

While many Tamil hits are remade in Telugu and vice versa, barring Vikram not many Tamil stars have worked in Telugu films in the past. Vikram too worked in small-budget Malayalam and Telugu films at the start of his career, not after he became an established star. The last known Tamil star-actor to work in a major Telugu film was Kamal Haasan who worked in Maro Charitra, directed by K Balachander.
