Tamil actor Suriya's 24 to go on floors on April 8

Suriya's next project, a Tamil thriller called 24, will roll from April 8 in Mumbai. The film is being directed by Vikram Kumar. He is currently busy with a horror flick titled Masss and a children's film called Haiku.

The team plans to shoot a month-long schedule in the city before heading to other locations.

"Most of the film's story is set against Mumbai. Suriya will start shooting for 24 from April 8 onwards here for a month," said a source from the film's unit.

Samantha is paired with Suriya in the film, which will be produced by the latter's home production 2D Entertainment.

Double Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman will compose tunes for 24.
