Actor Manjari Fadnnis has been part of showbiz for over a decade now. The Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na (2008) actor, does not believe in competing or entering the rat race. Instead, she is happy in her space and feels fortunate to have come so far without a godfather in the industry. “I have been exploring myself through the years. Though I have been choosy and distinctive about my work, I have been lucky to have had work all these years. And, all of it has been good and credible work. Yes, I am picky and choosy but that is because I trust my instincts. I feel blessed to have found good people to work with too.”

Manjari is currently working on a play with Mahesh Manjrekar. She says, “I haven’t done theatre enough, as much as I thought I should have. So now, I want to explore that aspect. I attended a workshop with Neeraj Kabi, and the experience was enlightening and evolving. I want to enhance my acting potential through theatre and as of now I am really enjoying it.”

Coming from a musically inclined family, Manjari recently worked on her debut single and has also recorded a video for it. “I have always been interested in music but acting kept me occupied. This year, you will see the musical aspect of Manjari,” she says.

Earlier this year, the actor gifted herself a trip to Seychelles. Talking about the trip she says, “I like ticking stuff off my bucket list. This trip had me train for four days as an open water diver, and now I am a certified one. I enjoy taking breaks and doing things myself.”

Taking a break for Manjari also means visiting her family in Pune and just doing nothing. “Pune is home where I just sleep, eat, relax and chew my mother’s brains. Mumbai, on the other hand, is a space that opened up the world of cinema for me.”
