Three interwoven thoughts compromise the framework of the play. The first is about trivial problems escalating into major fights amidst the humdrum of daily life…and how the routine gets to you. Coupled with that is the craving for variety to break the monotony that sets in — a craving that leads to thoughts like wife swapping, which are negated before they are realised. And finally the play showcases the concept of neighbours emerging as a support system in a world of terse relationships.
The play, directed by Chitranjan Tripathy, will be performed by The Modernites (the Modern School Old Students Association) from January 24-26, 6.30 pm onwards, at Kamani Auditorium.
