Norway will be be without several of their stars for Wednesday night's friendly against Germany in Dusseldorf, German sports agency SID report on Monday.
Roma and ex-Liverpool defender John Arne Riise has picked up a knee injury, while a trio of strikers in Aston Villa's John Carew, Valerenga's Mohammed Abdellaoue and Rosenborg's Steffen Iversen are all injured, according to Norway coach Egil Olsen.
Defender Borre Steenslid and forward Daniel Fredheim are also out, while uncapped forward Hogne Aaroey is missing because his wife is expecting the couple's second child.
Olsen has called up Fulham striker Erik Nevland as a replacement for Aaroey, but the coach had been hoping to use the 2.03m striker for his considerable height in the opposition's penalty area.
The Norwegians are expected to arrive in Dusseldorf on Monday and have their first training session on Monday evening.
