Top-seeded Indian pair of Vivek Shokeen and Ashutosh Singh crashed out of the doubles first round of ITF men's tennis here while Yuki Bhambri and his British partner George Coupland sailed into the second round.
Shokeen and Ashutosh surrendered 4-6, 3-6 to the Czech-Russian pair of Roman Jebavy and Andrey Kumantsov.
Bhambri and Coupland prevailed over Vijay Kannan and Vinod Sridhar of India 6-2, 4-6, 11-9 in a tiebreak.
In other doubles matches, Indo-Pakistani pair of Kamala Kannan and Aqeel Khan beat third seeded Romanian Bogdan-Victor Leonte and Navdeep Singh 6-2, 7-6 (7).
Indian Rohan Gajjar and Purav Raja put up a fighting performance against second seeded Syrym Abdukhalikov of Kazakhstan and Mohammad Ghareeb of Kuwait before going down 7-6 (2), 7-5.
Wild card Mithun Murali and Ranjeet Murugesan of India outplayed Japanese Katsushi Fukuda and Kento Takeuchi 6-1, 6-2 while Tushar Liberhan and Rupesh Roy lost 3-6, 7-5, 12-10 to fourth seeds Danila Arsenov of Russia and Uzbekistan Vaja Uzakov in a thriller.
Another Indian pair of Divij Sharan and Vishnu Vardhan lost to Ireland's John McGahon and American Nathan Thompson 3-6, 5-7.
