If you thought that sexplicit MMS clips involving school kids was technology at its scariest, then here's something which is sure to give you nightmares. Adult games are very much within the reach of children, as most of them carry their own mobile handsets.

Experts feel that unlike porn on the Internet, games on cellphones are accessible to children 24X7. And the bigger worry is the long-term damage this can cause. “The addiction to porn takes children away from reality. It creates a sense of arousal, which makes them emotionally insensitive,” says clinical psychiatrist Samir Parikh.

Karan Bindal was shocked when he opened a folder labelled ‘do not open' in his 16-year-old son's phone filled with porn video games. “His computer has antiporn filters but what to do with this?” he says.

According to Parikh, “Sex education is necessary. Parents should understand that they can't monitor their children all the time, it's better to trust them.” Thinking twice about buying a new mobile for your child?
