He’s only a film old, but Varun Dhawan has had more than his share of link-ups. After Alia Bhatt, Tapsee Pannu and even Bipasha Basu, the latest rumours have it that he is seeing Shraddha Kapoor.
“I didn’t know my love life was so talked about. All these girls are my friends, including Shraddha, who I have known since childhood,” quips the actor, unfazed by all the gossip. He admits that while stories of his link-up would upset him earlier, they’ve become amusing now. “It’s a school mentality, wherein if you’re spotted with a girl, she’s your girlfriend. It’s stupid. If people talk about me because I’m dating someone, I’d rather not be an actor,” he says.
Claiming that he refrains from talking about his personal life in order to avoid controversies, Varun adds, “I’m focussing on my work. I want people to know me for my films and the characters I play. The girls I’m linked with are as new as me and even they are going through the same grind. We’re all friends, so we laugh about it.”
The actor has recently featured on a dancercise video choreographed by Remo D’Souza. Compliment him on his dance moves and taut physique and he says, “I’m at an age where my energy levels are high, so it’s good that people are talking about me.
