According to the department, the minimum temperature in the state has dropped by up to four degrees in the last 24 hours. Pilani recorded 4.4 degrees, Churu 5.1 degrees, Jaisalmer 5.2 degrees, Bikaner 6.1 degrees, Phalodi 6.2 degrees, Sikar 7.5 degrees and Alwar 7.6 degrees.

Rajasthan’s Covid-19 death toll rises to 876, tally of cases climbs to 61,296

Out of the total deaths in the state, Jaipur has reported 232 fatalities, followed by 87 in Jodhpur, 65 in Bharatpur, 59 in Ajmer, 57 in Bikaner, 53 in Kota, 37 each in Nagaur and Pali, 23 in Alwar and 19 in Dholpur.

Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Churu and Jaipur recorded a maximum of 43 degrees, 42.8 degrees, 42.1 degrees and 40.2 degrees Celsius, while in Ajmer and Kota mercury touched 39.5 degrees and 37.3 degrees Celsius respectively, according to the MeT Department here.

Seven bodies were recovered from the Lok Parivahan Seva (Public Transport Service) bus as both the vehicles went up in flames immediately after the accident at around 8am on the Bikaner-Jaipur National Highway 11, said Bikaner’s superintendent of police Pradeep Mohan Sharma.
