Dr Anas Mujahid, a resident of north-east Delhi’s Bhagirathi Vihar who completed his internship after MBBS in January, was working at the hospital’s gynaecology ward as a junior resident since last month.

The police got information that Kuldeep Fajja is hiding in a flat in Rohini. When a team reached there, a gunfight in which the gangster was seriously injured. He was taken to a hospital where Fajja was declared brought dead.

Capital’s second plasma bank to open at GTB hospital next week

The first one at Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) in Vasant Kunj was launched on July 2. A dedicated Covid-19 facility, of the 1,500 beds in the hospital, 206 were occupied on Friday evening.

Around 40 people have been admitted to the hospital with “firearm injuries” and are serious, doctors at GTB hospital said. Over the past two days, 74 injured were also taken to nearby Jag Parvesh Chander hospital, 19 to Lok Nayak hospital, and 10 to Max hospital in Patparganj.

Apart from 13 deaths including that of a Delhi Police Head Constable, over 150 have been injured in the North-East Delhi violence over a period of two days after clashes broke out between pro and anti CAA protestors.

Doctor jumps to death in Delhi’s GTB hospital quarters: Police

The alleged suicide took place around 10 am on Saturday while the man’s wife was away at work and their two children had left for school. Police said that the man too was scheduled to leave for work, but instead, went to the balcony of his flat and jumped to his death.
On Tuesday, the police had said that the woman went to the nearby fields reportedly to relieve herself while her husband waited near the motorcycle.(AP)
