More than 150 jobs were offered by these companies and all were filled up on the basis of written test and interview. All selected candidates have been offered letters of intent for employment.

Minister Channi said during this job drive, a high-end Job Fair will also be organised at ISB Mohali on September 18 in which about 25 multinational companies will offer salary packages ranging from Rs 3 to 9 lakh per annum for 800 jobs.

Among the companies present at the job fair were Godrej, Ernst and Young, Dr Reddy’s, IBM and Standard Chartered. The policies of each company to make the workspace inclusive for all communities differed — some offered gender-neutral washrooms, medical benefits for same sex couples and stopping the practice of adding titles before a person’s name.

In 2015, various Delhi government schools had started vocational courses under the National Skill Qualification Framework for classes 9 to 12. The first batch of students to be trained in all the four levels will graduate from their high schools this year.
