Last ride? Malaga in Spain to ban horse carriages for tourist use this year

Tourists visit the town of Malaga in a horse-drawn carriage on February 10, 2025. The Malaga City Council, with Francisco de la Torre as mayor, has reached an agreement with the 25 licensed coachmen to stop operating horse-drawn carriages for tourist use. Horse-drawn carriages have been associated with the history of the city of Malaga for decades.
