It is summer time and travellers are ready to take their vacations once again after more than two years of staying home under Covid-19 lockdowns. Added to the lure of international skies being open now, this seems to be the best time for Indians to take their dream trip. Be it a ‘dreamcation’, ‘staycation’ or ‘wellcation’, if the desire to travel outpaces one’s finances this summer, then TNPL (travel now, pay later) service providers are making immediate vacations possible. Abhilasha Negi, Co-Founder of SanKash, tells Zarafshan Shiraz, “Making travel bookings, especially for big-ticket trips with the entire amount paid upfront for a vacation, has always been stressful for travellers. After a long duration of being impacted by the pandemic, weddings are back in full swing, in time to bid farewell to some of the season's most spectacular winter weddings and say hello to summer weddings. As many international destinations still have travel restrictions, a large portion of summer weddings are likely to take place in India this year and soon-to-be married couples are already looking for cool desi getaways in hills, mountains, islands and jungles, away from the sweltering heat of North India. In an interview with HT Lifestyle, Anam Zubair, Associate Director of Marketing at WeddingWire India, revealed, “This wedding season is going to be a big bang, according to the Indian wedding dates calendar. In the summer of 2022, starting April till July, there are 29 mahurats (auspicious) dates which is almost 58% of the entire year’s mahurats. May is very heavy with 11 mahurat days and there are nine days in June. As per industry statistics, around 40 lakh weddings are to be solemnized from April-July.” She listed five fantastic summer wedding sites where you may have the wedding of your dreams and say "I Do" in lovely weather.
