MMRDA begins pre-trials for Mumbai’s Metro trains

Close to a month after chief minister Uddhav Thackeray unveiled the first indigenously built Metro train for Metro-2A (Dahisar-DN Nagar) and Metro-7 (Dahisar E-Andheri-E), the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) conducted pre-trials for the train at the Charkop depot before testing begins on the actual route in a month
The survey was undertaken with experts, engineers, forest officials, and using necessary equipment including a man lift machine (aerial work platform) to ensure birds are not harmed during the tree transplantation process, and majority of nests which were vacant carefully removed as per wildlife laws.(Sourced: RAWW))

Mumbai: Woman dies after crane rams Metro pillar on highway

According to officials, the crane was being taken to the Metro site along the Western Express Highway when it lost control and rammed into the pillar.
